The buildings at the historic Santa Clara site are the primary reason for the SBHRS organization’s existence. They provide a unique location and atmosphere for the museum and it’s railroad artifacts and scale model railroad displays. Renovation and preservation of the buildings started in 1986 when we gained access to the property.
All work to renovate and maintain these structures is done by the volunteer efforts of the members and friends of the organization. We welcome volunteer help and donations from anyone in the community to assist with this unique community service project.
Four buildings comprise the historic district: the Depot, the Tower, the Speeder Shed, and the Section Tool House. Select the links below to find out more of the history and efforts that went into preserving each of these historic structures.
